ASUPP ( Stand Up Paddle boarding association in Portugal ) and Óbidos council have teamed up for the National Longboard Championship and for the SUP Waves Series.
These events will take place between 18th and 19th of August in Praia d'el Rey beach, near the Marriott hotel.

SUP or Stand Up Paddle boarding is a surf variant that has been gaining more and more supporters in Portugal. In SUP the practitioners stand on their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves through the water, taking advantage of all that nature has to offer. Lakes, Lagoons, Rivers, Oceans and Dams, these are all ideal for the practicing of SUP and the good thing about it is that anyone, any age, can do it!
